The Root Beer Bandits
The Root Beer Bandits Oct 2 - Oct 31, 2021

THE ROOT BEER BANDITS is the story of five characters that meet in the center of Sarsaparilla City, Calif., in 1860. Featuring an original score by composer Rachael Lawrence and lyrics by Joseph Leo Bwarie, the musical comedy penned by Bwarie and Lori Marshall is a fan-favorite known for its vaudeville timing and melodramatic antics. With the sold-out run in 2019, the Ovation-nominated musical has been produced more than any title at the Garry Marshall Theatre. When Pollyanna Peppercorn arrives in Sarsaparilla City with urgent news, she is met by a fabulous business owner named Sally Sue Tucker, and the kind-hearted Sheriff Bailey. What this trio doesn't realize is that the dastardly duo of Copper Penny and Zeke have already infiltrated the township and the scheming has commenced. Amidst the musical comedy mayhem, it's a saga of realizing one's dreams, and being true to one's self. The crowd-pleasing production that brings the spirit and adventure of the Wild West to life in the made-up township of Sarsaparilla City returns with an expanded story and more songs. The dynamic cast is complimented by a live band on stage! Mask compliance for all audience members, and a fully vaccinated staff, band, and cast, makes for peace of mind at this wildly entertaining outing for all ages.
