Based on a true story when peace, camaraderie, and music prevailed on the battlefield in 1914. Out of the violence a silence, then a song. A German soldier steps into No Man's Land singing "Stille Nacht." Thus begins an extraordinary night of camaraderie, music, and peace. A remarkable true story, told in the words and songs of the men who lived it. Performed by Theater Latte Da, The New York Times calls All is Calm "a beautiful musical recounting of a World War I ceasefire of gifts, poetry, and melody."

Alton Brown says fans can expect "more cooking, more comedy, more music, and more potentially dangerous science stuff with a sprinkle of seasonal spices. Plus, you'll see things I've never been allowed to do on TV." Brown has a knack for mixing together science, music and food into two hours of pure entertainment.

Red Tape Productions proudly announces the return of BAWHMS to the Los Angeles stage. This all-original family-friendly musical comedy holiday extravaganza debuted 4 years ago and has quickly become a fan favorite. The show features the new holiday classic "Kidnap an Elf" and fun songs in the spirit of the season about seasonal candy, Franken-Santa, pirates at Christmas, and a shy little angel named Harold. The music spans genres from blues-rock to Broadway, children's to cha-cha, and traditional to extraterrestrial. The interactive concert is approximately two hours long (including an intermission). Every year, insurance agent Bob Finhead's whacked out friends and clients stop by his small-town Iowa office for their annual holiday bash. The town mayor, the sheriff, the twin farmer sisters, the stoner, the town floozy and the pastor's wife have already RSVP'd for this year's event. But Bob has dreams of a bigger life and wants to escape their narrow-minded thinking. Will he be able to fulfill his dream of becoming a professional inventor and move to the big city, or will he come to realize how much he is the heart and soul of the town? Will any of this matter once the party starts, the bickering and fighting begins, and the drinks hit the floor?

The Porters of Hellsgate Theatre Company is thrilled to present Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol: The One-Man Play live and in person for the first time since 2019. The production will be directed by newly appointed Porters Board member Drina Durazo. "Charles Dickens was known for being a performer of his own works; his novels were written with such vivid theatricality that they were almost like plays," says Durazo. "We're aiming to recreate the experience of Dickens' public recitals with A Christmas Carol, The One-Man Play, and it's been a great joy exploring this beloved classic by way of Krieger's dynamic performance." Having most recently taken on the roles of Theseus in The Two Noble Kinsmen and director of Romeo and Juliet, Associate Artistic Director Gus Krieger portrays over thirty characters in this telling of Dickens' classic tale. Having assumed iconic roles for the company including Richard III, Shylock, Benedick, and King John, Krieger is thrilled to return to the boards of North Hollywood.

The Christmas tale begins as the Guardian of Time, who manages the changing of the seasons with his giant magical clock, finds himself less than thrilled to face the countdown to the 2022 holidays. In other words, he's not feeling it. An optimistic, magical Christmas fairy played by the glamourous and comedic magician Lucy Darling whom David Copperfield calls "a true original - hilarious and delightful; An EXCEPTIONAL new talent in magic" appears to help but despite her best intentions, causes time to go haywire when she breaks the clock.

Definitely not A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens! Rather, Mrs. Dilber's Fabulous Bedcurtains is a comedic reimagining of the classic holiday tale, but without the old rich guy! Instead, playwright Arthur M. Jolly focuses on Mrs. Dilber, the housekeeper in the original story - and her epic attempt to get some bedcurtains despite a series of ghosts and other diversions including Dr. Jekyll, the little matchstick girl and an oddly Mr. Hyde-esque Tiny Tim ... on a night somewhat adjacent to the more familiar story.

The Nutcracker is the city's holiday tradition perfect for celebrating the season. Set to Tchaikovsky's iconic score, Los Angeles Ballet stays true to the traditions of the holiday story with some surprises! This production is set in 1912 Los Angeles. Throughout the five scenes in two acts are hints and tastes of Southern California - a Spanish style home, calla lilies, bougainvillea, the snowy forests of the Sierras, Venice archways, a moonlit Pacific Ocean and more!

In 2015, Cori Cable Kidder starred in our production of Always...Patsy Cline, one of our most popular shows ever. Now, Cori's back as Patsy again, this time performing Christmas classics like Jingle Bell Rock and White Christmas, as well as her own standards, including Walkin' After Midnight, Crazy, and so much more.

In this hilarious sequel to Greater Tuna, it's Christmas in the third-smallest town in Texas. Radio station OKKK news personalities Thurston Wheelis and Arles Struvie report on various Yuletide activities, including the hot competition in the annual lawn-display contest. In other news, voracious Joe Bob Lipsey's production of A Christmas Carol is jeopardized by unpaid electric bills. Many colorful Tuna denizens, some you will recognize from Greater Tuna and some appearing here for the first time, join in the holiday fun. A Tuna Christmas is a total delight for all seasons, whether performed by two quick-changing comedians as it was on Broadway, or by twenty or more. Production requirements are minimal, making the play suitable for school and community producers as well as large venues.
