This year the award-winning Troubies have combined the classic 1954 film, White Christmas, with the Beatles epic double record, the White Album. The result is a hippy, trippy, and-a-lil nippy - take on the beloved holiday musical extravaganza.

"...The Troubadours are at it again poking fun at tradition and mingling two very different musical takes on the holiday for a satirical third. In 2023, the Troubies celebrate their twenty-eighth year lampooning Christmas at the Colony Theatre in Burbank. This time, they take the sentimental and amiable crowd-pleaser film "White Christmas" - the highest grossing musical film of 1954 starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, and Vera-Ellen - and tie it into knots by combining it with the Beatles' 1968 "White Album" which featured music every which way (rock and roll, blues, folk, country, Reggae, and you-name-it).This may not have been a marriage made in heaven, but it works - somehow."

"...Director Walker does an excellent job of corralling and creating the delightful chaos, staging musical numbers with energy and pacing the entire show with unflagging spirit. He also adapts the material, which works especially well here, resulting in such titles as "Obey Me or You'll Die" (a play on "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da") and "Why Don't We Do It in the Snow?" The show is full of memorable moments and amusing gags, including Mother Superior literally jumping the gun, the repetition of the number nine, the outsourcing of tap dancing, a wonderful recreation of a Disneyland ride, a projection of a famous road and cameos by The Walrus and a renowned actor."
