Los Angeles Times - Somewhat Recommended

"...Conan Doyle and Green are both depicted as lonely, for different reasons; the play suggests that they used the logical, emotionally unavailable Holmes as a shield against heartbreak. Unfortunately, onstage their thwarted human love affairs come across as so insipid and thin, at least compared to the pyrotechnics of their Holmesian adventures, that their obsessions don't seem that tragic."

"...My quibble is that while Mitnick offers suggestions as to Green's older, later life, he gives very little as to Green's background, which makes Green's eventual collision with his own obsession (no spoilers here) emotionless. Without that heart, at times the second act can be exhilarating and exhausting at the same time. Still, this is a fun house of a show that, for a world premiere, impressed me very much."

"...I came away feeling that the actors also deserved the highest praise possible. Led by Tudyk as Holmes/Green, Ramiz Monsef as Watson (and others), and Austin Durant as Doyle (and others), the seven-person cast gave performances that can only be called perfect."

Santa Monica Daily Press - Highly Recommended

"...The most spectacular elements in this play, however, are the set design of Brett J. Banakis, the lighting design of Elizabeth Barker, the projection design of Kaitlyn Pietras and Jason H. Thompson, and the illusion designs of Francis Menotti and David Kwong. The images and lights that flash across the stage, the panels that slide open and closed to reveal, among other things, scenes of outside environments, including a stunning rainstorm, and the cacophony of sounds that overwhelm the auditorium are, all by themselves, well worth the price of admission."
