Pacific Resident Theatre presents the world premiere of a new play, VINCE MELOCCHI'S JULIA, the first subscription show of their 2010/2011 subscription season opening December 11, 2010. Set against a crumbling urban backdrop, JULIA is a comic, touching and tender examination of a fifty year old love - lost and reclaimed. Directed by GUILLERMO CIENFUEGOS, the cast includes HASKELL VAUGH ANDERSON III, RICHARD FANCY, MARLEY McCLEAN, JUSTIN PRESTON, ROSES PRICHARD and KETH RICHARDSON.

VINCE MELOCCHI (playwright) has been a member of PRT for over sixteen years and is a founding member of the Writers Group at PRT. Over the past few years his plays Figures, Bully, Last Snow and Cow have been presented at PRT, as well as last year's World Premiere of Lions, which was published by Samuel French in 2009 and was the first published play to come out of PRT's playwrights unit.

GUILLERMO CIENFUEGOS (director) was named among the top directors of 2003 by Backstage West his production of Pains of Youth with Nom De Guerre. He also directed the company's critically acclaimed original plays Stay Sweet Stay Happy, Out of Time and last year's production of Vince Melocchi's Lions. NORMAN SCOTT designs the set and lights for JULIA with sound by GUILLERMO CIENFUEGOS and KEITH STEVENSON. KEITH STEVENSON produces the play with DAN COLE and MELODY FERNANDEZ as Associate producers.

JULIA opens Saturday, December 11 at 8:00 P.M. With performances Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 P.M.; Sundays at 3:00 P.M., (No performances 12/23 - 1/2/11) closing Sunday, January 30, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. Tickets are $20.00 on Thursdays & Fridays and $30.00 on Saturdays & Sundays with group rates available.
