This LA Times Critics Choice is a solo piece of theatre which reveals the interconnecting stories of four elderly people -- who range in age from 80 to 100 years old -- living in retirement homes and care facilities around Ireland. 1943 was a curious year for this quartet, and their lives have never been the same since. At times challengingly dark and, at other times, startlingly hilarious, Forgotten is presented in a fusion of European and Japanese Kabuki theatrical styles at the Odyssey Theatre in Los Angeles.
