"...THE MAN WHO SAVED EVERYTHING is an intense existential journey and may not appeal to everyone. It is heavy going and could use just a touch of humor to leaven the proceedings. At the same time, this is a character-driven play dealing with something relevant to everyone – the place of memories in life – and how remembrances keep people alive long after death."

"...The play is well staged and directed by Michael Van Duzer, if a bit repetitious. There are two cleverly costumed (by Maxine Etchison) "helpers" who glide around in silence, arranging furniture, props etc. But the reason to catch this show is to applaud the performance of David Mingrino, who throws himself into the role of the tormented man with all his heart and soul. He seems to have a black cloud over his head that's about to burst and drown him. Oh, and one more thing, you may be inspired to rush home and clean out your garage with renewed vigor."

"...Scuglia's play gives hoarding the attention it deserves - both as a stand-alone disorder and as a byproduct of depression and other mental diseases. Barry's struggle, even in the face of extinction, is understandable and inspires empathy and curiosity; he's never presented as a freak in a carnival side show. However, the production's poor staging and unnecessary back-and-forth progression keeps it from reaching its full potential."
