"...The current-day acuity they achieve reminds us anew why federal authorities locked the theater on "Cradle's" legendary opening night. When the worst thing you can say is that the final placards need even more 21st century targets -- Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and various media monopolies and pundits, for instance --- the show's triumph is inescapable. Simply put, this "Cradle" rocks. Go."

"...In bringing back many elements of his 1995 production for this same theater, director Daniel Henning gives us a lively, rousing, highly stylized version and doesn't patronize us by overinsisting on the obvious contemporary parallels. There are terrific performances from musical director David O and a hugely talented cast of 19, with special kudos to Smith, Gigi Bermingham as a soigné Mrs. Mister, Tiffany C. As in every Blank production, the cast couldn't be better. Tiffany C. Adams, Will Barker, Gigi Bermingham, Christopher Carroll, Rob Roy Cesar, Matthew Patrick Davis, Mikey Hawley, Jim Holdridge, Jack Laufer, Roland Rusinek, Meagan Smith, Rex Smith, Lowe Taylor, David Trice, Peter Van Norden, Matt Wolpe, Adam Wylie, and Penelope Yates all give 110% to the project. There is terrific singing, committed acting, and some inspired comedic work being done here."
