Edge - Somewhat Recommended

"...The show itself, now playing all over the world after a successful stint on London's West End, is a bit of a misfire, proving why it never really landed on Broadway. The problem lies in the source material. Musical thrillers don't really work and the way Thea Sharrock ("Equus" with Daniel Radcliffe) directs the piece, it's as cheesy as a stick of Velveeta on a wheel of brie."

Stage and Cinema - Recommended

"...Deborah Cox is an extraordinary singer with a remarkable instrument. She gives us the big Whitney moments we crave, but manages to make each song her own, with almost supernatural vocal control, appearing to effortlessly take lines from pianissimo to grand forte in a single breath."
