Clarissa, the charming wife of a diplomat, is adept at spinning tales of adventure, but when a murder takes place in her drawing room, she finds live drama much harder to cope with. Desperate to dispose of the body before her husband arrives with an important politician, she enlists the help of her guests. Hilarity ensues with the arrival of a wry detective. Christie delivers suspense and humor in equal parts with secret drawers, hidden doors, and invisible ink.

"...There is still plenty that works in this production of Christie's 1954 play, one of the few of the English writer's voluminous works written directly for the stage. There is choice character acting and a familiar Christie gallery of wry inspectors, comic eccentrics, smooth-talking houseguests and respectable people who may not be quite as respectable as they seem."

"...From the moment Agatha Christie's Spider's Web opens, there's a sense of fun and tongue-in-cheek playfulness. The play has all the intrigue of a classic whodunit: a body in the drawing room, clues hiding in plain sight, and a group of people with motives to conceal the truth. Group Rep keeps this fast-paced murder mystery set in 1954 moving at a delightful clip."
