One evening a woman confesses to her husband that she’s been unfaithful. The date is September 10, 2001. The next morning, their private crisis is eclipsed by a national tragedy -- best known as 9/11. As the couple watches coverage on television, and works through their relationship, we meet various ordinary people affected by the event: a sportswriter, a firefighter, a woman rediscovering her faith, a graffiti artist, a street vendor selling American flags, an evangelist, and others.
