"...With book by series creator Garry Marshall and songs by pop composer Paul Williams, this 2006 musical plays like a typical innocuous episode revolving around Arthur "The Fonz" Fonzarelli: When local hangout Arnold's Diner is threatened with demolition, Fonzie (Derek Keeling) is forced into unaccustomed self-reflection and learns a humbling lesson in community values. "

"...The many beloved characters from the series are either in the play or mentioned. Where would this show be without a charismatic embodiment of the supercool Arthur "Fonzie" Fonzarelli, who was created so memorably by Henry Winkler' Thankfully, the character is in superb hands here, played with verve and great charm by Derek Keeling-a natural fit, considering his prior gig as Danny Zuko in the "Grease" revival. He's paired to perfection with Misty Cotton as the sultry Pinky Tuscadero. Cotton sings and dances up a storm and nails the saucy sexiness of this biker chick. Effervescent Derek Klena seamlessly inhabits the role of squeaky-clean high school nerd Richie Cunningham, the Fonz's best pal. Tracy Lore and John Richard Petersen offer hilariously on-target portrayals of Richie's sitcom-standard parents. Adding to the fun are zesty characterizations by Benjamin Goldsmith as Potsie, Dane Biren as Ralph Malph, Tessa Grady as Joanie, Estevan Valdes as Chachi, Nicholas Lienbach and Will Harris as the menacing Malachis, and Jay Weber as diner owner Arnold. The large cast cavorts with glee, put through their paces by director Susan Morgenstern, choreographer John Charron, and music director Lloyd Cooper."

Stage Scene LA - Highly Recommended

"...Lloyd Cooper deserves a big thumbs-up for his musical direction and for conducting the show's get-up-and-dance 8-piece band. Thumbs up too to Walt Spangler's colorful National Tour scenery, which brings to stage life Arnold's red Naugahyde booths and the sitcom's other well-known locales, and David C. Woolard's collection of 50s full skirts and petticoats and lettermen's jackets, also from the touring production. (Both sets and costumes are courtesy of McCoy Rigby Entertainmnet.) High marks go also to Christina L. Munich's lighting, Jonathan Burke's sound, and Mark Travis Hoyer's hair and makeup design. Barry Pearl, Arnold in the National Tour, is associate producer. Christine Gibson is wardrobe supervisor, Gina Farina technical director, Char Brister crew captain, William Coiner production stage manager, and Anne Mureau assistant stage manager. "
