Back by popular demand, THE BOOK OF MORMON, which played sold out runs in 2012, 2014, & 2017, returns to the Hollywood Pantages Theatre for a limited two-week engagement November 29 - December 11, 2022.

The Book of Mormon is a musical comedy that features music, lyrics and a book written by Trey Parker, Robert Lopez and Matt Stone. It is a humorous examination of the beliefs, practices, and values of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Stone and Parker are best-known for their animated comedy South Park. Lopez co-wrote the music for Avenue Q.

The Book of Mormon is the story of two Latter-day Saints missionaries who attempt to share the faith with the people of remote Ugandan villages. The locals are not interested in the missionaries' efforts and are distracted by other pressing issues like HIV/AIDS, female genital mutilation, oppression, and famine.

The BOOK OF MORON has been a huge success since its opening on March 24, 2011. It broke the Eugene O'Neill Theatre House record for the most performances more than 50 times. The BOOK OF MORON won nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and the Grammy for Best Musical Theatre album. It also received five Drama Desk Awards, including Best Musical, NY Drama Critics Circle Award, Best Musical, and four Outer Critics Circle Awards, including Best Musical.

The West End production won four Olivier Awards, including Best New Musical. It also broke the West End record for highest single-day sales. In June 2019, the first ever UK and European tour opened in Manchester. It won 'Best Theatre Show" at the Manchester Evening News City Life Awards, before traveling throughout the UK.

The BOOK OF MORON has been performed across three continents, and has received over 30 international awards. The musical broke long-held box office records in New York City, London, Melbourne and Sydney, as well as in other cities around the U.S.
