Sherlock Holmes and the Adventures of The Suicide Club

The REP will present a new production of SHERLOCK HOLMES AND THE ADVENTURES OF THE SUICIDE CLUB, sponsored by longtime friend of The REP, Kirsten Moomey, opening Friday, November 14. Adapted for the stage by Jeffrey Hatcher, this thrilling mystery unfolds deep in the heart of London, behind the impassive facade of a windowless house, as some of Europe's most powerful men gather to play a game. The game is murder, and this is The Suicide Club. But the club has a new member, Sherlock Holmes: brilliant, brooding, the greatest detective in the world. Why does Holmes wish to die? Can his friend Dr. Watson save him? Or does Holmes want to be saved? A new stage thriller featuring the famed sleuth in a tale full of mystery, romance, twists and chills. In addition to the vibrant script, The REP is excited to have Artistic Director Mikee Schwinn and Executive Director Ovington Michael Owston returning as Holmes and Watson. It's an affair that shouldn't be missed, as these men haven't graced the stage in quite some time. "These guys come in here every day and handle the business aspects of the theatre," said Director Kim Valis. "Our productions are always stellar, but this is the decadent icing on the cake! It is absolutely amazing to be able to see them both on stage again, portraying legendary characters, and getting another chance to play!" SHERLOCK HOLMES AND THE ADVENTURES OF THE SUICIDE CLUB will run November 14 through December 13. Show times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm and Sundays at 2 pm. Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for students and seniors. Group rates are available. THERE IS NO SHOW FRIDAY NOVEMBER 28. Advanced reservations are highly recommended, as this show is guaranteed to sell quickly. For tickets, purchase online at www.repeastplayhouse.org or call 661-288-0000. SHERLOCK HOLMES AND THE ADVENTURES OF THE SUICIDE CLUB is rated REP-PG.
