"...Playwright Ostrin turns this fabled scenario into a zinger-laden crowd-pleaser, with various plot shifts reflecting Brando's breakthrough role. Yet scholarly groundwork doesn't automatically equal dramatic truth. Ostrin's premise holds the potential for ambiguous sizzle and even surprise, but, under Rick Shaw's direction, this script could change names and references and play the same. Thus, a momentous occasion becomes an ineffably conventional dramedy."

"...Ostrin sometimes departs from the facts, but his fictional treatment is persuasive and intriguing in its own way, and director Rick Shaw skillfully navigates its subtleties. The actors wisely don't attempt literal impersonation, though Bonnem nimbly captures Williams' manner and cadences. Serricchio doesn't look like Brando, but the actor possesses the requisite looks and magnetism. He doesn't employ the famous Brando mumble, though it's much talked about; perhaps intelligibility seemed more important than verisimilitude. The women's roles are less fully developed, but Hamilton and Higgins play them with charm and panache, and Brandt provides comic relief as the buff, tempestuous Pancho."

"...There are two talented women in the production, Margo Jones (Alexa Hamilton) a close friend of Williams who had hoped to be given the job of directing A Streetcar Named Desire, but accepts his reason for denying her the position. The other is Jo (Shasha Higgins), Brando's traveling partner and "maybe" girlfriend. The entire cast proves to make this production one to enjoy."
