IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT, TYLER PRICE! follows Jackson, a middle school boy with big feelings who's in big trouble after punching his bullying classmate, Tyler Price, for mocking Jackson's sister, Lucy. Lucy, who attends the same school's special day class, has epilepsy and related learning challenges. To avoid expulsion, Jackson's principal insists he explain himself to the entire school. In response, Jackson stages a scrappy, heartfelt musical using music he "borrows" from his composer dad. Through each family member's bravery, we watch healing begin for all.

First conceived over a decade ago by Ben Decter, the show is the story of his own very personal journey through his family’s battle with his daughter’s very rare seizures. This might seem like a strange concept for a musical. But trust me, everything about this musical is utterly magical, beautifully crafted, and an absolutely perfect way to share such an incredible story."

"...As somber as the play's subject matter is, there are plenty of moments of humor. The main payoff here is the smartly blended slate of music and lyrics that are skillfully performed by the 13-member ensemble —they veer into jazz, rock, and even a little gospel. The performance of the live band (Kyle DeTarnowsky, Leo Decter, James Fall, Bryan Boyce and Aaron Benham) is superb under the musical direction of Kyle Puccia, while David Goldstein' eye-popping, two-tier scenic design is remarkably well crafted."

"...The premise is simple and perhaps a tad formulaic, but it’s cleverly serviceable and its predictability is easily overshadowed by the charm and humor at the heart of the story. When schoolyard bully Tyler Price (Jonah Orona) employs Trump-like antics to target and make fun of the disabilities of a slow-learning fellow student with epilepsy named Lucy Hoffman (Faith Graham), her scrappy older brother Jackson (future superstar Charlie Stover) clocks him with a well-placed haymaker to the jaw that leaves him sprawling."

"...It's All Your Fault, Tyler Price! is based on the writer's true story of his young daughter's very serious epilepsy, and the family's journey with it, especially that of her younger brother. Even as someone who has epilepsy myself, I do have to admit that the concept of a comic musical about epilepsy seemed a tad weird at first. But it's presented with so much humor and good music and excellent performances that I feel it can possibly even make it to Broadway one day."

"...Directed by Kristin Hanggi with music and lyrics by Ben Decter, the musical is a deft and delightful exploration and celebration of what it's like living with a family member who has epilepsy, and how we all struggle with something in our daily lives-"Everyone Struggles With Something," as the song says. It's an incredibly effective and human message, and one Hanggi and Decter deliver in a brilliant and charming package. The show blends its colorful musicality with the realism of Jackson's school and home life with impressive ease, never going so big in its theatricality as to lose sight of its intention and message."
