"...Aging parents frequently pose a daunting challenge for adult children who must assume the role of looking after them, and so it is for Albert (Neo Barnes). His father Leo Ledger (Will Kane), a gambling addict and alcoholic, is a contentious sort who does not take softly to being told what to do. After years of working to make life comfortable for dad, Albert is ready to leave and tackle the responsibilities of college. He is bookish and quiet, qualities that have not gone unnoticed and unappreciated by classmate Lucy Whitney (Avery Bebon), who one day in the school library strikes up a conversation with him. Not long afterwards, they become lovers."
