FAITHLESS is about an aging atheist named Gus, recovering from cancer, who is forced to deal with two grown stepchildren: a Presbyterian minister who is suffering from a crisis of faith, and a young woman who seems to have had a glimpse of the afterlife after a head injury. He is also dismayed by his adopted child, a teenager who suddenly decides she'd like to be a nun.

With her co-producer, Evan Bartoletti (who also designed the set), she calls on the Victory’s designers — lighting by Carol Doehring, costumes by Michael Mullen and Sound by Noah Andrade — to provide a seamless backdrop to Jon Klein’s witty dialog as it swirls around the beliefs that ground us so we can live another day. The ending will surprise you, and it is well worth the wait for the tag line that wraps up the play. Definitely a timely play that you can’t miss!"

"...Director Maria Gobetti gets strong, detailed work from her cast, and her surehanded pacing turns what in lesser hands could have been a talky exploration of theology into a compelling drama. Playwright Klein smartly balances out weighty discussions (e.g. the patriarchal structure of the Catholic Church and faith versus disbelief) with an abundance of humor — describing religion, for example, as “death insurance” and referring to nuns as “It’s not all singing and escaping Nazis.”"
