"...Director caryn desai does a wonderful job of putting on display and analyzing what it means to have a scarred family, how relatable it is to have one, and what healing may look like. The writing along with the performances are raw and truthful, resulting in a very emotional drama. "...The entertainment value is high in ICT’s production. The direction by caryn desai is sharply focused on making sure the actors bring truth to their characters. Spoke has the lived-in quality of a woman who gave up on the world years ago. But a son and a grandson with potential problems give a renewed boost to her mothering skills. Kharrazi is a real find as Danny. He is quick to temper but also displays a frightened puppy demeanor looking for affection and understanding. Polak gives the leads strong support, making a solid base for this familial triangle. Scenic designer Yuri Okahana-Benson provided enough stuff to outfit a homeless encampment. Exit Wounds will leave you emotionally drained and hopefully ready for action."

"...Director caryn desai [sic] creates a space with great attention to detail that feels dark and congested, externalizing Linda’s interior mess. Desai leads her three actors to build up the tension as the story unfolds. The initial comedic spin of the characters gives way to a much somber subject matter, leading to an emotional and moving display of guilt and sorrow, with a ray of hope at the end of the tunnel. Exit Wounds is a story that presents three generations that are trying to find redemption from a tragic past. It’s also timely, touching, and a meaningful conversation starter to find solutions for an urgent matter."
