At a homeless encampment in South Central Los Angeles, a small diverse group makes their home under a freeway overpass. In a volatile political environment of police violence and Black Lives Matter they struggle to survive. Their existence is threatened by local law enforcement whose goal is to clear the area. Their cause is aided by a social worker who vows to get them into housing. "400 West Slauson Avenue" examines the causes of homelessness and explores the barriers to successful housing.
