135 N. Grand Avenue Los Angeles

Boris Eifman, known as the bad boy of Russian ballet returns to The Music Center's Dorothy Chandler Pavilion for a stirring performance of Tchaikovsky. One of Eifman's signature dance-theater pieces, along with Rodin and Don Quixote, this full-length work dives into the tortured and brilliant mind of composer Pyotr Illyich Tchaikovsky (The Nutcracker, Swan Lake), exploring both his complicated sexuality and intense creative process through stunning choreography. Featuring some of Tchaikovsky's most unforgettable scores, this moving ballet artfully captures the composer's torment and ecstasy, materializing demons, fairies and other fantastical characters from his works to embody his struggle. The Los Angeles Times calls Eifman's creations "theatrical, visionary works that delve into characters' lives in the most exciting, probing, titillating, and wondrous ways."
