Nominated for eight Tony Awards and winner of London's Olivier Award for Best Musical, this adaptation of The Little Mermaid is the story of Ti Moune, a peasant girl who rescues, nurses and falls in love with Daniel, a man from a wealthy family. But Daniel is engaged to marry a girl from his own social class, and the gods who rule the island guide Ti Moune on a quest to test the strength of her love against the powerful forces of prejudice, hatred and death.
