Forever Plaid Reviews
LA Splash- Highly Recommended
"...FOREVER PLAID sparkles with oldies but goodies like "Heart and Soul," "Lady of Spain," "Three Coins in the Fountain," and "Love is a Many Splendored Thing." Woven among the 29 "Magic Moments" are the very funny antics of the quartet as they strive to present the best show ever. Classic doo-wop is back with passion and vitality. By the way, Nick Tubbs (Jinx) and Travis Leland (Frankie) are also members of a real life doo-wop group call the Flashbacks. Recently, Tubbs remarked that "This has always been my favorite kind of music…I just love the melodies and the lyrics behind a lot of the songs.""

"..."Forever Plaid" has always been a fun, innocuous, G-rated show that baby boomers probably enjoy more than anyone, but that's suited for all ages. This Long Beach staging hits on all cylinders, its cast and production team so talented as to reinforce, yet also justify, this show's ongoing popularity."

"...The ICT revival is based on the original staging. "I was taught the show by Stuart Ross, and we have stayed true to his vision," explains Dreier, who was directed by Ross for the official San Diego company where he played Smudge for 2-1/2 years. "I've seen the play done numerous times in all kinds of ways. It always works, but I think it works best when it's done the way it was intended - no gimmicks, no broad comedy, nothing over the top. Just getting back to a simpler time." He and his energetic cast are to be commended for creating 90 minutes of pure, non-stop entertainment!"
