Dracula, the Musical

Dracula, the Musical

The Grove Theatre
276 E. 9th Street Upland

The spine-tingling story of an immortal bloodsucking creature of the night continues to be re-"vamped," as the Victorian novel that started it all, Bram Stoker's Dracula, comes to Upland's The Grove Theatre in musical form. This dramatic staging moves from England to Transylvania and back as it focuses on Count Dracula's strange psychic connection with the young Mina, endangering her friend Lucy, and pitting him against the famed vampire hunter Van Helsing. The show premiered on Broadway in 2004, featuring a score by the Tony-nominated Frank Wildhorn (The Scarlet Pimpernel, Bonnie & Clyde) and lyrics and book co-written by Oscar-winner Christopher Hampton (Dangerous Liaisons).
