But her life was also rife with tragedy and substance abuse, and ended at a tragically young age. Now, to commemorate Lady Day's 100th birthday, the acclaimed solo show Billie! Backstage with Lady Day returns to the Whitefire Theatre in Sherman Oaks, shining a light on the personal side of this larger-than-life figure.
