A Women of No Importance

Sacred Fools Theater
1076 Lillian Way Los Angeles

Winners of LA Weekly, L.A. Drama Critics Circle and Ovation Awards year after successful year, the Sacred Fools are tackling the witty works of Oscar Wilde for the first time, with this new production of his Victorian comedy of manners, A Woman of No Importance. This feminist social satire finds an upstanding, churchgoing widow forced to reveal an embarrassing past indiscretion, when her former lover and the unwitting father of her illegitimate son Gerald offers the young man an important job. This 1983 play followed the Wilde hit Lady Windermere's Fan, and preceded An Ideal Husband and The Importance of Being Earnest.
