The Pirates of Penzance

The Pirates of Penzance

Glendale Centre Theatre
324 North Orange Street Glendale

Lovably topsy-turvy and filled with catchy tunes, The Pirates of Penzance has all the ingredients for the perfect operetta farce: a damsel in distress, sentimental pirates, an adorably dopey Major-General, and a series of delightfully absurd mix-ups. Expecting to be released from servitude on his 21st birthday, the orphaned pirate apprentice Frederic falls for the beauteous young Mabel. But due to a leap-year technicality, the poor lad soon discovers that he must be away from the love of his life and continue his apprenticeship for another 63 years. Will he ever be free? Will he win the hand of his beautiful Mabel? Find out as Glendale Centre Theatre bring this fun, fast-paced show to the stage. (And be sure to help the General sing his famous song: "I am the very model of a modern Major-General, I've information vegetable, animal and mineral…")
