The Long Beach Shakespeare Company reprises its grand holiday entertainment, Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. It's Christmas at Camelot, and while Queen Guinevere introduces the feast, King Arthur refuses to eat until he's been told a true tale of exceptional valor. Suddenly, in rides a giant dressed in green with a giant axe. He dares any of the knights to play a deadly game with him, and young Gawain rises to the challenge. This festive production at the LBSC's Richard Goad Theatre features music, dancing, sword-fighting and a little romantic comedy thrown in for good measure.
