Shakespeare's classic tale of love, jealousy, betrayal and revenge gets a new look as Griot Theatre sets the tragedy in an East Asian dystopian future. In keeping with the company's mission to provide opportunities to underrepresented artists, the entire production will not only be comprised of people of color, but will also feature women in key roles, including the notorious villain Iago. This bold and daring production of Othello examines the unique race relations between Blacks and Asians as well the inevitable blending of personal and professional relationships…as well as the consequences.
