Leading Ladies at Whittier Center Theatre

Two down-and-out actors without the fare back to England learn of a wealthy dowager seeking her long-lost English relatives in order to leave them her fortune. It sounds like an opportunity to act and get rich, but of course, the kink in the plan is that would-be heirs are women. And so begins a couple of wild hours of madcap action as our heroes slip in and out of costume, find romance (!), and attempt to evade the ever-watchful eye of other family members who would like the fortune for themselves. This is another fast-paced farce from Ken Ludwig, author of Lend me a Tenor and The Fox on the Fairway, and is sure to deliver a rollicking good time to all.
