La Vie en Rose Reviews
Stage and Cinema- Highly Recommended
"...If you have even a modest love of French songs, or just the art of performance, of hearing and seeing a singer bring a lyric to vibrant life, do yourself a favor and go see this consummate artist in a sweet, masterful evening of Chanson."

"...Ms. Migenes is well served by director Peter Medak, and especially by Ms. Kirsch at the piano, who adjusts to every nuance of the singer's performance. She also benefits from the talents of scenic designer Chris Bell; lighting designer, Bosco Flanagan; and sound designer, Christopher Moscatiello. And stage manager Jacob Price is with her all the way."

"...For this recital performance (seen Nov. 7), which called upon her considerable acting and dance skills, she chose 11 numbers for her just over one-hour-long gift. Migenes opened her program by saying her choice was difficult, as the repertoire of truly wonderful songs could have kept her on stage for the next four days. I thought to myself, "Well, I could cancel all my other plans for this.""

"...Migenes not only explains these songs, singing them with great reverence, but shows us pictures of the composers on the covers. She even threatened, quite hilariously, to have appeared as did Mistinguett, in Ostrich feathers, but she might also need ten or more male dances, lots of feathers, and net stocking up to her waist, along with a bustier. As lovely as Migenes is, it is hard to imagine her in such a costume."
