Edge - Recommended

"...This kind of show is obviously focused on a dedicated audience who want what used to be forbidden thrills, which is one of the reasons Celebration exists. The show is a tad too long for this kind of satirical excess, wearing out its welcome, but it's still fun if one is in the mood for its inspired brand of silliness."

LA Splash - Recommended

"...Pete Hickok’s scenic design is elegant, and a few audience members get to sit on a pair of on-stage sofas. Matthew Brian Denman’s lighting, Allison Dillard’s over-the-top costumes, Rebecca Kessin’s sound, and Michael O’Hara’s property design create the perfect environment for the play. Ryan Bergmann helms the cast with a sure hand. Last but far from least, this is a very funny and talented bunch of actors, each with special idiosyncratic moves which bring that extra inch to the character portrayed. Drew Droege couldn’t be more camp as the cunning Angela. He is ably supported by a team of frenetic actors who manage to keep the ball rolling in every direction at once. Laughter abounds, as it should in this very-far-from-reality production. At least, let’s hope that it’s far from reality."

Stage Scene LA - Highly Recommended

"...Silver screen goddess Angela Arden lives again in Celebration Theatre's hilariously over-the-top revival of Die, Mommie, Die!, Charles Busch's affectionately acidic tribute to the bevy of fading female icons who made their last defiant stand in 1960s La La Land."

Stage Raw - Highly Recommended

"...Cross-dressing actor-comedian Charles Busch wrote this glossy movie parody as a vehicle for himself in the central role of has-been movie star, Angela Arden. He performed in the play in Los Angeles several years ago, and his Angela was subtle and elegant. But now actor Drew Droege is giving him a run for his money — Droege puts his own stamp on the part, skillfully skewering the character’s ruthless egotism, pretensions and manipulations."
