This Pulitzer Prize-winning family drama was inspired by Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun. Act One, set in 1959, shows nervous white community leaders trying to stop the sale of a home to a black family. Act Two, set in 2009, takes place in the same house and the same neighborhood, and shows the now-predominantly African-American neighborhood battling to hold its ground in the face of white gentrification.
