All Is True, or Henry VIII

"Tis ten to one this play will never please all that are here..." What is going on in the Court of King Henry VIII? And what does the king want? Does he want to divorce his wife? Does he want peace with France? Does he want an heir? Does he want anything, or are all of his policies fed to him by his longtime advisor, Cardinal Wolsey? Who is pulling whose strings? Are there any strings? What is a string? Various political factions strive to answer these questions, convinced that those who speak their answer loudest will control the narrative and gain real power. In the middle of the vortex, Katherine of Aragon asks a very different question-how do I keep me and mine safe? Shakespeare and Fletcher's bleakly comedic social satire is brought to rip roaring life by the Porters of Hellsgate in their return to live performance. Newly appointed Artistic Director Will Block takes the director's chair. Leading the cast are longtime company member Jesse James Thomas in the role of Henry VIII, Dawn Alden as Katherine of Aragon, and Associate Artistic Director Thomas Bigley as Cardinal Wolsey. Rounding out the company are Ian Runge, Sean Faye, Brittany Pirozzoli, Anusha Shankar, Brendan Mulligan, Adrian Zamora, Michael Bigley, Thomas Block, Julie Lanctot, and Renee Torchio Macdonald.
