A Good Day at Auschwitz
The Road on Magnolia
10747 Magnolia Blvd. North Hollywood
“A Good Day at Auschwitz” is a true story of Abe, a man Stephen met at his synagogue. Abe was a fellow of great humor and heart who not only survived three years at Auschwitz - certainly the worst place on earth - but he fell in love there. Abe’s life speaks to the resilience of the human spirit, renewal, and hope – even when there seems to be none. Stephen’s rendering of Abe’s story was recorded for NPR and PRI radio, and has been described as “so compelling it required sitting in the driveway to hear the end and letting the ice cream melt.” For the first time, actor Alan Mandell and Stephen will read the story live.
