A woman is religiously guided to maintain her virginity until marriage. Along the way, she encounters numerous temptations to abandon her resolve, testing her boundaries. She learns that not all loss of innocence is related to sex. Her resolutions are brought into sharp focus when she goes home to Toronto as a wedding guest.
