The prestigious Akram Khan Company presents the US premiere of Until the Lions, which brilliantly reimagines an ancient Indian poetry epic through the eyes of women. The story, expressed beautifully through a classical Indian dance style called kathak, explores the physical expression of gender and endurance of the female spirit with the story of a princess who is abducted on her wedding day and stripped of her honor. A primal blend of raw power and subtle tenderness, you will not want to miss this Music Center presentation of Until the Lions at The Culver Studios in Los Angeles. This show is recommended for ages 8 and older. The performance is approximately one hour and 5 minutes long, with no intermission.
