The black veil of grief obscures the true intentions of three children gathered to bury their mother in Thieves, playwright Charlotte Miller's gritty portrait of a family in turmoil. When the family matriarch dies, three wayward siblings reunite at their estranged father's East Texas estate, each one ready to stake their claim. Emotional chaos quickly ensures, exposing old wounds and long-forgotten truths. Commissioned by Rising Phoenix Rep, Thieves receives its world premiere at Monroe Forum Theatre at El Portal in a production directed by Daniel Talbott.
