The Vagina Monologues at Cupcake Theater

Based on interviews conducted with women from all over the world, Eve Ensler's award-winning play The Vagina Monologues is a hilarious and deeply poignant collection of stories that gives voice to a chorus of common experiences and feelings once considered taboo. The popular show, performed by a rotating cast of 26 actresses, manages to be feminist without being man-hating, entertaining without being trite, and political without being offensive. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Peace Over Violence, a nonprofit benefiting battered women and children in Los Angeles.
