The Importance of Being Earnest

Glendale Centre Theatre
324 North Orange Street Glendale

Glendale Centre Theatre presents Oscar Wilde's Tony-Award winning classic, The Importance of Being Earnest. The 1895 social satire stands the test of time, filled with one-liners and double entendres that still pack a mighty comic punch today. Revived numerous times on Broadway, the play was also adapted into a 2002 film starring Oscar winners Reese Witherspoon and Colin Firth. The delightful tale follows two wealthy young men who pretend, among other things, that they are both named Ernest in an effort to win their ladies' hearts. A surprise ending caps off the evening and all's well that ends well.
