The Calla Quartet at Sierra Madre Playhouse

The Calla Quartet, an ensemble of emerging young musicians from the Colburn Conservatory of Music, will be performing in the Fischoff National Competition Quarterfinals in Indiana this spring, and will be traveling to various summer festivals in Australia, New York, and Texas. Making a return appearance at the Sierra Madre Playhouse, the Calla Quartet invites you to enjoy Haydn's String Quartet Op. 50 No. 6 entitled "The Frog," Szymanowski's daring String Quartet No. 2, and Mendelssohn's exuberant String Quartet Op.44 no. 1. Musicians include Karissa Zadinsky, cello; Amelia Dietrich, violin; Michaela Wellems, violin; and Aiden Kane, viola.
