"...Boasting some hilarious one-liners and a smartly ironic pop-cultural sensibility, the show's youthful sensibility is well served by director Damaso Rodriguez's crisp and playful production."

"...Director Dámaso Rodriguez's spirited staging keeps things moving along briskly on John Iacovelli's Ikea-display-cubicle set, which happily morphs from one location to another without slowing things down. Nevertheless, though it shows obvious promise, Leavitt's charmingly old-fashioned script is overwhelmed by the sense that it could easily be pitched to the networks as a vehicle for Charlie Sheen, Ray Romano, or any other veteran of an old sitcom looking for work."

"...There are a few things to recommend the show. The writing is engaging, and the twist in the order keeps us involved. The problem, though, is that the actual plots of the five plays don't have much going for them."

"...Leavitt's sex comedy is undeniably well-written, entertaining and amusing with lots of honest insight into the disillusionment that comes with being young, educated, and underemployed…yet its scope is quite narrow. The Boomerang Effect is a bit of a guilty pleasure-fun to watch, but it won't leave you feeling enriched in any meaningful way."

"...Village Green Productions merits a tip of the hat for taking a chance on a more-or-less fledgling playwright, a gamble that has paid off quite niftily in a production that guarantees laughs from side-splitting start to uproarious finish."

"...Leavitt does show promise and one hopes that he will continue to explore the world through the theatre. But this one needs a re-think at the end of the run as Americans need more explorations of love-couplings, both humorous and sad."

"...This is the ideal springtime diversion, light, frothy, sexy and very entertaining."

"...All of the cast of 10 more than capably handle their extensive, rapid-fire dialogue, sharply and cleverly written by playwright Matthew Leavitt."

"...Each performer deserves applause for fighting to give a shred of humanity to each moment, despite the uninspired direction, and it's a pleasant moment when they are able to. It's too bad the work of the playwright didn't match up and the director pandered with sitcom safety."

"...Now onstage at the Odyssey a terrific cast of 10 all sleep in the same bed – well, separate pairs of course – and engineer a slick and well-intentioned comedic evening of theatre."
