"...STELLA'S LAST J-DATE is an uproarious tale of two mismatched singles and their desperate attempts to get to know each other. "...Director Bryan Rasmussen's high energy, rambunctious production features excellent timing and rhythm, enhanced by the strong chemistry between Smallman-Winston and Livingston."

"...This rather simple production, directed by Bryan Rasmussen, is driven by the fantastic performances. Both Smallman-Winston and Livingston immediately bring their complicated characters to life, giving the audience a very clear sense of who they are as people in a very short amount of time. Nolasco's mysterious, vaguely villainous presence is also very compelling, leaving you to wonder if Don may in fact be a figment of the imagination."

He also does little with the staging to clarify Don's out-of-left-field appearances and revelations. Sure, there are a few laughs along the way due to the ridiculousness of it all, but finding a connection to these lost souls and rooting for them to end up together remains difficult."

"...STELLA'S LAST J-DATE holds plenty of comical episodes and the laughs that go along with 'em. This play should not be necessarily used as an example for those well seasoned folks out on a blind date to expect. Then again, one can't admit that this first date wasn't dull or boring. After all, all's fair in love and war. Just make sure that closet one keeps their skeletons in is in order!"
