A Chicago Christmas Carol

A Chicago Christmas Carol

Crown City Theatre Company
11031 Camarillo Street North Hollywood

Crown City Theatre Company presents a revamped, rejuvenated, revival of their 2008 production of "A Chicago Christmas Carol." Book writer William A. Reilly, and Lyricist Gary Lamb has once again fused their innovative talents to create a Holiday classic. With the help of new Director (Brent Beerman), Assistant Director (Ben Rovner), and Assistant Musical Director (Kathi Chaplar), new songs have been added and new scenes have been written. "A Chicago Christmas Carol" is the merging of two classic novels, Upton Sinclair's "The Jungle", and Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol". Set in the harsh reality of 1908 Chicago on a particularly cold and windy Christmas Eve, streetwalkers, the homeless and even Scrooge are in for a rough night. In this production Gary Lamb helms the piece as Ebenezer Scrooge, a despicable owner of a loan establishment that preys on the workers of his own Slaughterhouse. Because of the mature nature of this production we recommend it to audiences 10 and older.
