"...This British revival of the J. M. Barrie classic, directed by Ben Harrison, is missing what Cirque entertainments own in abundance: oohs and ahhs and wows. In an attempt to woo the YouTube generation back to the classics, it puts ambition ahead of heart. Yet for all its sensational CGI flying simulations and spectacular video projections, the touring production never quite lifts off. It's a "Peter Pan" without fairy dust."

"...This production of PETER PAN is quite unlike anything ever produced before… certainly putting "imagine" in re-imagined."

"...The projections offer no more magic to the proceedings than a painted cyclorama would offer on a proscenium stage. Indeed, the images are often stagnant while the performers are acting out the show in what is a very straight-forward, flat, miscast, incongruous play that forgets the very thing it is trying to teach us: without Pixie Dust you can't fly. It just goes to show that if you throw technology over a story that doesn't work, it may distract you temporarily, but ultimately acts as a bulwark to your heart."

"...No matter how many Peter Pans you've seen, you've never seen a Peter Pan nearly as thrilling as threesixty's Peter Pan. Its producers tout the production's "500 tons of tent and equipment, 100 cast and crew, and 400 square miles of computer generated imagery on a screen the size of 3 IMAX theaters." Previous reviewers have called it "spectacular," "thrilling," "breathtaking," "joyous," "mesmerizing," and "magical." It's all of this, and laugh-out-loud funny to boot."

"...This 3d landscape was the most awe- inspiring aspect of the show. Some of the props were also quite inventive, for instance using hangers and odds and ends one might find in a child's closet to make the dreaded crocodile. The shaggy dog was done be a puppet and a visible puppeteer, the croc maneuvered his way around the stage by two puppeteers riding recumbent bicycles. The flying was less impressive with very visible wires despite the clothes hangers added to make the design correspond to other parts of the set. As far as the cast goes, the kids seemed far too old and thus a bit cloying but I thought the Peter Pan of Nate Fallows was first rate, with his piercing eyes and slightly gawky stature, Captain Hook was played by the over-the-top yet very good Jonathan Hyde."

"...Apart from the breath-taking special effects, this retelling of the J.M. Barrie classic is pretty much what you'd expect. You can't really mess with a story this familiar, of course, without disappointing an audience; except for reimagining Tinkerbell as a feisty Latina (a delightful Itxaso Moreno), there's little attempt to tweak the familiar."

"...Trust the Brits to cut through the layers of Disney dross. A new travelling production of "Peter Pan," presented in a tent in Costa Mesa by London-based Three Sixty Productions, celebrates the magic and the message of the story in a way that's true to Barrie's vision yet still ultimately joyous, playful and uplifting. Above all, this "Peter Pan" is grandly and unabashedly theatrical – an appropriate homage, since Barrie's creation began more than a century ago as a play."

"...If your only recollection of "Peter Pan" is the Disney version, seeing this creative and innovative new approach is sure to give you an exciting new dimension on Barrie's original story. One thing is for sure, this theater-going experience will be unlike anything audiences have ever experienced."

"...Director Ben Harrison and William Dudley - who designed the setting, costumes and 3D production - have created a wondrous Neverland that begins where the vintage Disney animated movie, the underrated Steven Spielberg version ("Hook") and various other stage, screen and television productions left off. The circular stage smoothly transforms from a nursery to a wooded hideaway to a pirate ship, while the characters emerge from all directions, including up from below."

"...The magic of JM Barrie's Peter Pan is brought to vivid life in Threesixty Theatre's travelling production of the classic fairy tale. With a cast and crew of a hundred and a 360-degree movie screen the size of three IMAX screens, Peter Pan is a visual treat made all the more enchanting by a perfect cast and ingenious sets and costume."
