First produced in a rolling world premiere as part of the 2011 Humana Festival of New American Plays, Edith Can Shoot Things and Hit Them introduces us to 12-year-old Edith and her older brother Kenny, two Filipino American kids living in Middle America, abandoned by their parents. Kenny watches the money and makes sandwiches, while Edith goes on adventures with her stuffed frog and trusty BB gun. When Kenny and his classmate Benji begin to explore a relationship beyond friendship, Edith realizes she will have to stand guard to protect her newfound family.
