Open Fist Theatre Company will stage four full theater productions during this year's First Look Festival. The two-month long festival includes carefully chosen new material from playwrights Neil LaBute, Elizabeth Berger, Joseph Fisher and Maia Madison. LaBute returns to the festival with Short Ends, a collection of short plays concerning infidelity, sexuality, race, class and loss. A writer for ABC's new show The Neighbors, Berger's world premiere of Everything is Enough is a dramedy about a man who's sanity is threatened when his sister and his adopted niece come to stay in his home. Open Fist member Madison makes her writing debut with Nobody Loves Jews When They're Winning, a comedy about an interfaith couple trying to live together without her Jewish family finding out. Finally, Fisher's world premiere of In the Canopy of the Forest is a dark, funny tale about surviving life and friendships in the Pacific Northwest.
