In Lone Star brothers Roy and Ray take a drunken stumble down a memory lane littered with cars, stars, women and bars. Roy, a brawny Vietnam vet many years removed from the war, still can't find his place, so he spends his nights behind Angel's bar trying to get back to a place in his mind.

"...The Elephant Theatre Company's LONE STAR provides an interesting character study populated with three intriguing characters, the most being the younger brother Ray as embodied by Christopher Parker. Set in Maynard, Texas in 1981, Ray finds his older brother Roy drunk in the back patio of Angel's Bar. Christopher Jordan fully commits to his character of Roy, the drunken, lost-to-himself Vietnam vet who spends his Saturday nights drinking bottle after bottle of Lone Star beer."

"...McClure's play doesn't offer much in the way of plot, and derives its interest from the comedy provided by the characters. Director David Fofi has cast the piece well, making the most of its humor and providing a rich and funny evening. Jordan's Roy is proud, ruefully amused in his outlook on life, and disillusioned. Parker's Ray is more pragmatic and better equipped to weather life's disappointments. And Foyster's Cletus is a prize stick-in-the-mud, too dim to be aware of just how annoying he is to the people around him."
