Light Sensitive tells the story of two lost souls who meet in Hell's Kitchen and fall in love, despite the fact that they're both decidedly damaged goods. Tom Hanratty -- once known as "the most dangerous cabdriver in New York City" -- has become reclusive and embittered after an accident left him blinded. Edna Miles is also isolated from the rest of the world, but by her privileged upbringing, her overbearing father and a slight disability of her own. The two are unexpectedly thrown together and an epic battle of wills and wits ultimately gives way to romance. This dramedy comes from playwright Jim Geoghan, who's best known for producing tween TV, including Family Matters and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Light Sensitive puts his grown-up sensibility on full, engrossing display. Artistic director John Markland brings the production to the stage at L.A.'s Moth Theatre Company.
