Lear's Shadow

Lear's Shadow

Lineage Performing Arts Center
89 S. Fair Oaks Ave Pasadena

Following an accident, two good friends from a modern-day theater company contend with their shared loss while exploring their own complicated relationship. As the two navigate their grief, they turn their frustration with each other into an argument about Shakespeare's King Lear, acting out scenes to prove their points. Taking place entirely in real time, and set at the same Lineage Performing Arts Center in Pasadena in which it's presented (with the audience sitting at the rehearsal tables smack-dab in the middle of the action), Lear's Shadow is a highly original new work that suggests that the solution to many of life's problems can be found through friendship and art.
